Congress took the right action by preventing the administration from slashing essential health care funding for services that keep people out of nursing homes and for safety net and teaching hospitals—the places that care for the uninsured, train new doctors, and provide vital services that we all rely on. thanks to congress for including in the supplemental appropriations bill language that protects the health care safety net for the uninsured, millions of newborns and children, older americans and people with disabilities.
